GlobalScape provides Managed File Transfer software via 3 of their main packages defined as EFT Enterprise, EFT Express and EFT Arcus. They use a number of transfer protocols and their own patented application of UDP, just like us, so you can expect comparable transfer speeds.
Although as a GlobalScape alternative Filemail can be considered a competitor to all 3 packages, we shall be focusing on a comparison between us and GlobalScape’s EFT Enterprise package.
Enterprises must comply with certain regulations, be they industry specific, general legislative measures due to region, or due to the type of data that is being handled. GlobalScape and Filemail both offer comprehensive enterprise packages that cater to such needs, but as you can see in the table below, Filemail covers more mandates.
GlobalScape have many costs that need to be taken into account. For a start there is the per server-instance license. Then there is the cost in configuration and training. Because GlobalScape do not provide storage, you will have to address that as well. Taking into account some modules are not included, it is easy to see how these things add-up. We charge $40.83 per user per month, which includes all our modules, and a stellar internal customer support team.
You can’t just sign up to GlobalScape and start sharing files ad-hoc. Their solution is complicated and takes time to configure, be it templates, rules, or workspaces. Furthermore, relevant personnel will need to be trained either by GlobalScape or one of their regional partners. With our file transfer solution, you sign-up within minutes, and securely share files as easily as you email.

Using GlobalScape you will have to purchase and configure storage space. With Filemail, each user gets 5 TB, with more on request.
GlobalScape only permits you to upload 4 GB using a Browser, and only 20 GB using AS2 inbound. We have no such limits.
You will need to configure your own anti-virus, which could well be an additional cost. Filemail has anti-virus built in.
Our Customer Support team is not an add-on. They are ready to assist, and our founders and engineering are on-hand if need be.
